The dig of 2017 had the aim of exploring one Bronze Age type round house to discover if there were signs of connection with adjacent tin and copper workings.
Although there was no trace of metal working found during the 2017 dig on the site, the team instead uncovered extensive re-use of the round house during the Iron Age and later as an agricultural facility rather than a domestic dwelling.
This has led to a re-evaluation of life on Bodmin Moor during that period which was thought to be largely deserted. This work is ongoing and the proposed dig of 2018 will seek to explore this aspect more fully.
