Nick Hart (landowner)
‘What makes this site so special?’

Dr Andy Jones - Lead Archaeologist
“It’s a previously unknown roundhouse…. very well preserved…. because this on a hill slope it has been protected by soil creep.”

Martin Eddy - Project Leader
It’s a wonderful day, very quiet, no wind, views all the way down to the south coast - we’ve got 15 volunteers - going great guns!

Volunteer comments
I think I’ve peaked early …

Astonishing how quickly it’s been cleared …

This is my first dig - it feels really good.

Dr Anna Jones
We’ve got the edges of the round house coming up nicely now
