Led by County Archaeologist Dr Andy Jones, a professional team will be excavating probable Bronze Age round houses adjacent to the scheduled monument at West Northwood. Following a successful bid by the St Neot History Society, there are opportunities for members of the community to be trained in archaeological techniques. If you would like to be part of this exciting project on what is described as ‘a unique site’, please contact project leader Martin Eddy, or site owners Nick and Jenny Hart.
Dates of dig: 26 June to 8 July, weekdays. You should be prepared to commit to at least 5 days during this 10 day dig.
Date for diary Open Day, Saturday July 8th, with workshops and demonstrations of all things Bronze Age.
